NICCY has appointed an Audit and Risk Assurance Committee to provide advice on relevant areas as set out in Department of Finance ‘Audit Committee Handbook (2020)’ and associated government guidance publications.
It works to a defined terms of reference in its work of advising and providing assurances concerning NICCY’s systems of internal control, financial and risk management arrangements.
It is an advisory committee with no executive functions.
It provides assurances concerning the Commissioner’s arrangements for risk management and supports NICCY in regard to systems of internal control.
